I have managed to keep Chani through my illness and was blessed to have a new start after we lost our farm - we now have a new smaller facility with an indoor riding arena! I pinch myself to make sure it is all real! Visit www.rose-arbor-equine.com to see our place.
Here are some of the horses I have been privileged to ride (in order):
My very first schoolmaster - Glendaeus, a 17 hand, 12 year old Holsteiner with a heart of gold! He died after four years of teaching me the basics of dressage and lots of fun.
“Waldemar” my Hanoverian gelding that taught me how to ride upper level. I won my bronze and silver USDF medals with Waldemar. He is teaching another adult amateur in New Mexico…I miss him so much!
“Dreamatino” - a Westfalen gelding that I rode for a year. He was a fabulous mover but very “spooky” and I started to lose my confidence. I sold him to buy Waldemar.
My husband bought Laeda as a Valentine’s Day present after Glendaeus died - to ride, and also to breed. Here’s a head shot and a few after giving birth to Chansonetta:
Chansonetta is my only remaining horse. As she approaches three years old she will be started in her training and hopefully as I grow stronger, so will she and w
e can develop a long healthy partnership.

Your horses are so beautiful! I love horses and have ridden a handful of times in my life, but have never had to priviledge to live around them all the time. I, myself, have Chronic Lyme, and my 11 yr old son has congenital Lyme as well as Autism. He was blessed enough to be eligible to participate in the local Horses for Healing program locally. Our local Equestrian Farm sponsors time for children with disabilities to come and learn about horses. They learn how to care for them, how to respond to their body language, to dress them, and to ride the horses. My son has developed a great bond with the horse he got to ride named Scooter.
You are so blessed to have these wonderful creatures around.
Sincerely,
Andrea
